Chapter 4: Making common laborers out of intellectuals
Article Abstract:
The lack of freedom for China's intellectuals has reached its final stage in China thus China's intellectuals must live and die for totalitarian power, be loyal to it, and even worship it as god. Mao Zedong, an expert political leader proposed a methodology for intellectuals to reform themselves, that is the making of common laborers out of intellectuals and by having them work together with the workers, peasants and masses to transform their conservative outlook into a proletarian outlook.

The utilitarian character on China's intellectuals is demonstrated in three ways including serving in government, the first life choice of China's intellectuals.

Chapter 6: Mutual destruction and mutual purges in academic circles
Article Abstract:
The way in which China's intellectuals can be transformed from political types to academic types is presented. Experts believe that the political consciousness of the intellectuals would fade away and disappear when a scholar can be equal of a politician in terms of salary and social position.
