Christopher Dawson and the history we are not told
Article Abstract:
Historian and academician Christopher Dawson was noted for his enormous erudition, which is attributed to the variety and number of books he has read since childhood. He treats the past as meticulously as he does the present. His central theme in the analysis of Western civilization and culture is the dominant role of religion. Western religion encouraged change while those of the East were static. According to his theory, the Chinese who had superior navigational skills, did not engage in worldwide exploration because of their inward-looking religion.

Literature and the foundations of the West
Article Abstract:
There are significant challenges relating to the liberal arts curriculum at US universities. Nobody wishes to state what this curriculum should contain or what it should achieve. Universities are not informed by any consensus on the goals and structure of liberal arts education. Such a consensus must be discussed and revived. If this consensus is not present, undergraduates are exposed to transgressive and propagandist courses.
