Conspiracy and the policy process: a case study of the New Zealand experiment
Article Abstract:
The concept of policy conspiracy shows a solution in explaining aspects of political economic policy reforms in a New Zealand experiment. The policy reflects the concept of an experiment as an effective means of advancing policy quest. This suggests that countries that are undeveloped are important as autonomous policy leaders. An interaction between visionary leadership and a coherent economic team is important for the implementation of macroeconomic stabilization and structural reform.

Learning from politics? The casual interplay between government performance and political ideology
Article Abstract:
Swedish panel data is used to investigate the interrelations between evaluations of government performance and ideological left-right related orientations. There is some support for 'the socialisation school', in that ideological positions and values display considerable short-term stability, although less stability over a four-year period.
