Daimonic Men
Article Abstract:
Insights provided by the Greek daimonic men, who discovered the human soul and revolutionized philosophy, made human lives in modern times more meaningful. The discovery of psyche and the revolutionary conception of a human being, liberated men from the clutches of the myth. The new way of looking into the consciousness distinguished mythical treatises from the philosophic mode of consciousness of existence-in-truth. Daimonic men who became representatives of the philosophic consciousness shifted the focus from cosmic gods to the human beings.

Enlightenment to ideology: the apotheosis of the human mind
Article Abstract:
The 18th century enlightenment had a radically new concept of reason. Descartes in the 17th century may have given the same impression with his division of reality into a res extensa and a res cogitans, but he did not completely sever philosophical links with the scholasticism of the preceding centuries. In contrast, the 18th century enlightenment was a radical break from the era of Descartes, as it depended mainly on the natural sciences, particularly Newtonian physics.
