Environmental advocacy in Washington: A comparison with other interest groups
Article Abstract:
The similarities and differences between environmental organizations in Washington and other advocacy groups are examined to understand environmental advocacy and evaluate its causes and consequences. It is seen that although environmental organizations are better staffed and are more actively involved in legal procedures than other groups, they follow the broad pattern of all organized interest advocacy groups.

Marrying strands of ecological modernization: a proposed framework
Article Abstract:
A conceptual framework that helps make sense of the different strands within Ecological Modernization (EM) theory is presented. Political, institutional and societal aspects identified by various strands of EM are better seen as factors conducive to EM than as constitutive elements of EM.
