Environmental movements: from the local to the global
Article Abstract:
There are considerable difficulties associated with defining an environmental movement. However, it can be stated that environmental movements are wide-reaching networks of people and organizations involved in collective activity prompted by environmental beliefs. There is strong evidence of the strength of the environmental movement, with younger people now being more likely to belong to an environmental movement organization than to a political party. The dialectic of environmental movement development is a continuing process, whether at local, national or global level.
