Europe: The next fifty years: Fun beyond fifty
Article Abstract:
Europe will celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the Treaty of Rome in 2007, which established the foundation of the contemporary European Union, but many question whether the continent will maintain its level of prosperity over the next fifty years. The next few years will be crucial for Europe to face global challenges, particularly the emergence of new economies like China. Hence in order to avoid becoming a marginal player, a critical requirement for the continent will be to produce a vision for the future that Europeans can share and support.
