Tasks for NATO I: move east and revise the CFE
Article Abstract:
The expansion of NATO to Central Europe by supporting reforms and strengthening security partnership with post-Communist Russia is much-needed to ensure stability in democratic Eurasia. NATO, however, needs to ensure that Russian authorities adhere to international laws and respect human rights of its people prior to implementing long-term partnership with the ex-Communist nation. NATO also needs to appease Russia by heeding to its request for a meeting of member nations to implement revisions to the Treaty on Conventional Armed Forces in Europe.

Storms in the Med blow towards Europe
Article Abstract:
The conflict between Turkey and Greece might be intensified if Greece increases trade ties with the European Union. Turkey has become increasingly strident since the military coup in 1997, and it has insisted the EU conduct trade negotiations with Ankara before speaking with Cyprus. European policy leans more toward exclusion of Turkey and inclusion of Greece. Partitioning Cyprus may avoid this conflict.
