European markets and national regulation: conflict and co-operation in British competition policy
Article Abstract:
The politics of competition policy in the United Kingdom in the light of regulatory cooperation at the European Union level is studied. Further, a multiple streams model of policy making is applied to discuss that convergence was the result of the interplay of factors such as creation of the single European market and its consequences, and agreement in the competition policy community policy community that favoured consensus and consultation.

The political benefits of corporatization and privatization
Article Abstract:
Government privatization and corporatization programs in Denmark are analyzed with refrence to their political and economic effects. Although policy makers realize the economic benefits that these programs may bring, politics still plays a large part in motivating these programs.
