Article Abstract:
Security and intelligence across the United Kingdom is modestly resourced and often fragmented, results of the fact that it was designed to deal with a different threat, that posed by Irish-based groups over the past two centuries. In order to combat the new threats posed by modern terrorist organisations, the intelligence and security services need to rapidly evolve if they are to be prepared for the moment an attack takes place.
