Harassment of black politicians
Article Abstract:
Black politicians are experiencing harassment from both the media and law enforcement agencies such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). This persecution is reminiscent of history when black leaders were shot, cheated and set up. More than 1/3 of Afro-American elected officials have their phones bugged and friends followed under an FBI policy called 'Fruhmenschen', meaning primitive man. Black officials are considered good targets for investigations because of their proverbial shoestring budgets make them more likely to succumb to corruption.

The future of black financial institutions
Article Abstract:
Afro-American banks must adapt to the changes occurring in the US banking industry in order to survive. Unlike before, services offered exclusively by banks can be availed of in other financial institutions. This in turn has resulted in a shrinking capital market for banks. The increased presence of foreign-owned banks has also heightened competition within the industry. Black banks should implement innovative marketing, cost control and customer service strategies.

The black flight to the "burbs." (increased African-American migration to suburbs)
Article Abstract:
The black minorities are increasingly migrating from major cities to suburbs looking to secure their lives by acquiring better jobs and more spacious homes. Crime in the cities and high housing costs have caused this exodus of educated middle-income black families to suburbs such as Harvey, IL, and Sommerville, MA. Financially backward blacks dwell in large numbers in suburbs such as Cleveland Heights, OH.
