Looking back in order to look ahead: Twenty years of research and publishing by the research group on socialism and democracy
Article Abstract:
The project of the Research Group on Socialism and Democracy (RGSD) had a threefold purpose, which is historical, theoretical, and methodological. Along with its interdisciplinary and comprehensive approach to the socialism/democracy dynamic, the RGSD felt the need to restate the validity of an often-articulated but rarely practiced principle, namely, that the variety of social and political types of human coexistence demands a comparative methodology and an international perspective.
