Measuring public sector effectiveness using private sector methods
Article Abstract:
The measure of effectiveness and efficiency of the private sector may not work in the public sector since the administrative nature of the public sector is more complicated than the private sector. Strict imposition of regulations cannot be applied to public management because it will be incongruent to the purpose of social service. Further, the difference between the nature of public and private sectors suggests that they have different criteria of effectiveness.

In the twilight zone: a survey of public-private partnership in Sweden
Article Abstract:
The advantage of Sweden's public-private partnership (PPP) lies in its capacity to facilitate shift to another institutional system without political conflict. PPP can serve as the ground for compromise since it has relations to both the public and the private group. It may also be considered as an option from socialiation and privatization because it changes the institutional environment without compromising municipal authority.
