We wouldn't give up
Article Abstract:
The first black youngsters to graduate from the Little Rock Central High School, Little Rock, AR, went through hell while they were students but they never gave up. They had to face the forces of hate and division in the form of cursing and spitting mobs. They endured daily barrages of racial venom and persecution not only within the walls of the school but even from the governor of the state who bitterly declared that blood will run in the streets if blacks tried to enter Little Rock Central High School.
