Re-affirming secularism for Islamic societies
Article Abstract:
This article discusses the key issues modernizing Muslims must face regarding the relationship between Islam and secularism. The author argues the problem of secularism in Islamic countries is that it is associated with being against religion and the only way Islamic countries can modernize and become a democracy is by forming a new model that represents their values and interests.

Scientists in the age of terror and knowledge economies
Article Abstract:
This article discusses the practice of scientists since the Cold War. The author, maintaining scientists have become more isolated from each other since the Cold War and most of the scientists in American research labs are foreign graduate students, argues that in such dangerous times scientists must find a public voice.
