Representing transnational environmental interests: new opportunities for non-governmental organisation access within the World Trade Organisation?
Article Abstract:
A survey of non-governmental organization (NGO) participants in the World Trade Organization (WTO) environment briefings in 2004 reveals their position on current and proposed modes of civil society input, the feasibility and legitimacy of which are discussed. Transnational environmental NGOs have grasped the need to appeal to developing country interests in order to widen political support for ecological concerns with the WTO.

Rethinking sustainable cities: Multilevel governance and the 'urban' politics of climate change
Article Abstract:
Multilevel governance perspectives to examine the discursive and material struggles, which take place in creating sustainable cities, are discussed. Findings reveal that the interpretation and implementation of sustainability are shaped by forms of governance, which stretch across geographical scales and beyond the boundary of the urban.
