Should America decouple from the world economy?
Article Abstract:
The current trade surpluses in the Pacific Rim is causing much of the world economy to have a slow growth rate. Pres Bill Clinton has to get the cooperation of Japan and Germany in formulating fiscal and monetary policies and controlling trade surpluses to improve prospects for the American economy.

Can 19th century capitalism work in 2013?
Article Abstract:
Americans have shown little reaction to efforts made by the government in reforming the country's capitalist structure. On the other hand, French workers are active in criticizing or commending reforms. This difference can be attributed to the individualistic attitude of Americans.

Where goes the US economy?

The economy of the United States is continuing to slow down in 2001, despite a better picture in the rest of the world. The Federal Reserve is cutting interest rates and a recession seems likely.
