'Ten commandments' to cleanse the guilt in Bosnia
Article Abstract:
The Dayton peace accords, designed to settle the civil war in Bosnia-Herzegovina, are a sham. The accords are more important for signalling an end to US-European disputes over Balkan policy than for any benefits they bring to Bosnia. They fail to achieve any genuine democratic reforms in Bosnian society. Bosnian Muslims will be hard-pressed to maintain their independence and will probably look to Croatia for protection. NATO countries hope the accords will prevent the outbreak of ethnic conflict elsewhere in the Balkans, but trouble in the Kosovo region of Serbia is already brewing.

Battle of the Atlantic
Article Abstract:
An examination of the relationship between the United States and Europe in the aftermath of their argument over events in Iraq. It is suggested that once events in Iraq have begun to calm down, the US and Europe will attempt to paper over their differences as the US will require Europe in its efforts to maintain stability in the Middle East, while it will make little sense for Europe to maintain an hostile attitude towards the US.
