Article Abstract:
World-renowned feminist activist and author Betty Friedan is convinced that the women's movement has achieved a lot for females in the 20th century. Her first book, 'The Feminine Mystique,' is acknowledged as the literature that influenced the movement for equality between the sexes. At the end of the 20th century, it is evident that there is near-equality between men and women in terms of professional opportunities and political rights.
