The 21st century: the century of biology
Article Abstract:
Genome research is becoming popular in the 21st century due to the increasing demand for genome information. This has benefited the scientific community, particularly the fields of medicine and pharmaceutical research. However, ethical questions have been raised regarding the practices of cloning and gene alteration. To prevent genome research from being abused, a group that will govern and control the said scientific field should be formed.

The human genome project, however, may lead to overpopulation because millions of lives will be saved from fatal diseases.
