The Federal Reserve chairman as hero: our defense against monetary excesses?
Article Abstract:
The politicization of monetary policy and the position of the Federal Reserve chairman has diminished the protective power of the Federal Reserve Board against inflation. While the Federal Reserve Board may seem autonomous, politicians can manipulate monetary policy to hide excesses in public spending. Federal Reserve officers should be allowed independent control of monetary policy and freedom from external pressure if they are to function effectively.

Sports player drafts and reserve systems
Article Abstract:
The effects of a player draft and reserve system on social welfare depends on how easily a player can transfer contracts from one team to another. The greater the flexibility of transfer, the greater will be the player's benefits.
