The idea that developing countries need to be protected from trade and investment, or globalization, has been termed 'globaphobia'. Whether this is truly altruistic in the part of developed countries is questionable and the opinion here is that to benefit the poor of the world, globalization should be embraced.

The ethical challenge of globalisation
Article Abstract:
Issues relating to globalisation are presented, with particular focus on the ethical challenges represented by this concept. It is observed that there is an international network of global dependency and that no action can be taken to reverse the effects of globalisation.

Fair globalization means free trade in agriculture

There is a need for a greater focus on free trade in food and agricultural imports, and this has affected Brazil, which cannot gain access to many markets.
