Article Abstract:
A struggle for worldwide cultural dominance in the name of modernism and the growth of technology have resulted in the growth of cultural nationalism. Iran, Bangladesh, Egypt and Algeria are experiencing the growth of fundamentalism. The nationalist movement has rightfully opposed the onslaught of a dominant culture but has not provided any concrete solution for this. US withdrawal from UNESCO is a sad development. The growth of video as cheap means has supported the underfunded artists. There is a need to totally integrate cultural concerns into political practice and daily lives.
