Yeltsin = property rights in Russia

Former Russian prime minister Yegor Gaidar believes that a Yeltsin victory in the polls will guarantee the retention of property ownership rights. A leader of market reforms, Gaidar states that this means an inflow of capital for Russia and a rise in domestic private investment and the stock market.

The democratization of Russia has produced a free country with many problems especially corruption and poverty. The troubles in Chechnya have brought international condemnation, just one example of Russia's struggle to break free from it's past.
