A case of Munchausen syndrome by proxy with subsequent stalking behavior
Article Abstract:
A case of Munchausen syndrome by proxy, wherein the patient presented with symptoms of severe borderline personality disorder and questionable psychotic symptoms is discussed who was also adjudicated for harassing and stalking a child protective services worker. The patient had responded well to clozapine and made a reasonably good adjustment to living in a group home but after refusing to clozapine therapy because of weight gain, the adjustment declined.

Article Abstract:
A preliminary examination of the relationship among shame-proneness, emotions and persistent, unwanted courting or pursuit behavior is provided. Self-harm behaviors and harm toward others were associated with feelings of sadness and depression and some also reported feelings of anger and jealousy.

A psychological autopsy of an obsessed fan who attempted to kill a rock star and then commit suicide is analyzed. It gives insight into the motivational dynamics of the stalker and warning sign to help differentiate between a fan and a stalker.
