A primer of social decision scheme theory: models of group influence, competitive model-testing, and prospective modeling
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted on the basic elements of social decision scheme (SDS) theory and how SDS can answer two fundamental questions in group processes and determining methods for successful group research using competitive model-testing and prospective modeling in SDS analysis were also proposed. Results showed that SDS elements such as individual and group preferences, patterns of group influences and collective responses can be used in determining group consensus. For successful group research, theories must be interpreted correctly in the context of robust process models.

Exploring the performance benefits of group training: transactive memory or improved communication?
Article Abstract:
Research designed to establish whether the performance benefits linked with group training are attributable to improved communication among workers, instead of to transactive memory, is presented. It is argued that the performance benefits are not attributable to improved communication.
