Cookies, disposition, and job attitudes: the effects of positive mood-inducing events and negative affectivity on job satisfaction in a field experiment
Article Abstract:
The impact of mood inducing events and negative affectivity on job satisfaction are analyzed. Results show that negative affectivity (NA) or the propensity for negative attitudes reduced employee job satisfaction. On the other hand, positive mood-inducing events increased job satisfaction. Positive mood-inducing events were also found to have little influence on high NA employees.
