An examination of hypervigilence for external threat in individuals with generalized anxiety disorder and individuals with persecutory delusions using visual scan paths
Article Abstract:
This study measured the perception of environmental threat in individuals who suffer from generalized anxiety disorder and persecutory delusions. While studying pictures containing threatening content, a clinically anxious group showed no significant differences in vigilant behavior, such as excessive visual scanning, when compared to a control population.

The mutual influence of gaze and head orientation in the analysis of social attention direction
Article Abstract:
Three experiments were used to study the interaction between head orientation, gaze direction, and the perception of another person's direction of social attention. Results indicate that head and gaze cues are mutually influential in determining the focus of social attention.
