Anorexia nervosa and schizophrenia in a male chinese(includes bibliography)
Article Abstract:
A case study of a male young Chinese suffering from anorexia nervosa and schizophrenia highlights the relationship between eating disorders and other psychiatric problems. Anorexia nervosa is rare in Asian countries, especially among males. The patient was an underachiever in a controlling, high achieving family and suffered from the dellusion that he was fat despite being underweight. He also suffered from schizophrenia and as the psychosis deepened, his anorexia abated somewhat. Further research into his case was curtailed when he became violent and was moved to a protective facility.

Complications of bereavement as seen in infant anorexia and adolescent anorexia nervosa
Article Abstract:
Case studies conducted on patients with anorexia nervosa, an eating disorder in both infants and adolescents, revealed that difficulties in the mourning process of the parents could lead to the development of anorexia. Parents can unwittingly inscribe feelings of unresolved grief for their own parents, onto their children. These problems surface during infancy and adolescence when the events of individuation-separation occur.
