Cultural, social, and emotional determinants of decisions under uncertainty
Article Abstract:
The factors that influence Chinese and United States college students' decisions in both a simulated investment situation and an academic situation are examined. The research showed that the effects of situational and individual difference variables on decisions are largely mediated by the emotional reactions that people anticipate having in response to alternative consequences of these decisions.

Betrayal aversion: when agents of protection become agents of harm
Article Abstract:
A form of betrayal occurs when agents of protection cause the very harm that they are entrusted to guard against. A study is conducted to examine how people respond to violations and anticipated violations of asymmetric protective trusts and investigated specific mechanism that may be responsible for why people respond to such violations as they do.

Saving the worst for last: the effect of time horizon on the efficiency of negotiating benefits and burdens
Article Abstract:
The experiments explored the effect of outcome delays and longer time horizons for the realization of outcomes on the efficiency of negotiated agreements. Outcome delays decreased the overall contentiousness of negotiations and increased the efficiency of their agreements.
