Distractor plausibility and criterion placement in recognition
Article Abstract:
An examination of the effects on criterion placement by manipulating the degree of the distractor set overlapping semantically or categorically with the previously learned stimuli is presented by conducting experiments. Results show that subjects who took tests with more plausible distractors set a higher criterion and the asymmetry obtained with picture and word categories suggests that online monitoring of recognition performance modulates the criterion shift.

Minding the clock
Article Abstract:
The relationship between perception and language production is examined in a study of the process of time-telling using eye-tracking measures. A preverbal message appeared to be guiding an incremental formulation of phrases and the importance of bridging the divide between seeing and saying is emphasized.

Plausibility and grammatical agreement
Article Abstract:
An examination of the plausibility effects on subject-verb agreement in English reveals how non-syntactic constraints affect language production. Agreement processes in production and comprehension are significantly mediated by plausibility, as similar mechanisms appear to be at work in both domains.
