Early associations of schizophrenia in the 1966 North Finland general population birth cohort
Article Abstract:
This article examines data from a birth cohort study from North Finland to investigate risk factors associated with schizophrenia. Results indicate that an increased risk of schizophrenia was significantly correlated with short gestation, low birth weight, gestational viral infections, perinatal brain damage, and unwanted pregnancies.
