Effect of response format on endorsement of eating disordered attitudes and behaviors.
Article Abstract:
A study was designed to determine the effects of anonymity and response format on endorsement of eating disorders symptoms by comparing a standard self-report assessment methodology to a novel assessment methodology that allowed for true anonymity in responding. The results suggest that different assessment formats are associated with significantly different patterns of endorsement of eating-related thoughts and behaviors.
