Events associated with identity status change
Article Abstract:
Internal change processes and individual personality parameters play a significant part in the course of identity development in all identity statuses across all identity domains during adulthood. Internal change is characterized by openness to experience, and new ways of perceiving self and others, ego resilience, and self-esteem. Influence of a significant other is related to the transition to foreclosure in most identity domains. The association of event type and identity status change is stronger than that between demographic variables and either of the former.

A case-based approach for estimating costs in psychosocial research
Article Abstract:
Initial review groups should adopt a case-based approach for estimating the costs involved in conducting psychosocial research. The appropriateness of the budget for a research project can be judged using several metrics, including total cost, total number of requested staff hours, total direct costs, number of participants and number of contact hours. These metrics can be integrated into cost indices that permit rough comparisons across research budget proposals. Caution, however, must be observed in the implementation of the case-based approach.
