Secondary traumatization in partners and parents of Dutch peacekeeping soldiers
Article Abstract:
Secondary traumatization among Dutch peacekeepers and their partners with different levels of posttraumatic stress disorder (PSTD) symptoms is studied. Partners of peacekeepers with PSTD symptoms reported more sleeping and somatic problems, more negative social support and judged the marital relationship less favorable as compared to the partners of peacekeepers without PSTD symptoms.
