Habit dynamics and wealth accumulation fluctuations
Article Abstract:
The consumption habit dynamics for the wealth accumulation process is analyzed. Results show that individual response habits towards investment return changes are dependent on the individual need for cognition and tendency towards risk taking. Therefore, investors are advised to minimize habitual consumption during recessions in order to maintain wealth accumulation rates and good financial standing.
