Hyteresis and uncertainty: the effect of uncertainty on delays to exit decisions
Article Abstract:
Exit decisions in nonprofitable ventures were shown to be a function of information availability and consistency. A model on investment behavior showed that subjects with low access to information or having access to information with high variability tended towards delaying exit decisions, to the point of investing more resources, prolonging the search for more accurate information and delaying the decision until more information is provided by the investment environment. Results of the study were consistent with the findings of Dixit, who showed how information can affect the investment decision process.

The effect of other-oriented values on decision making: a test of propositions of a theory of concern for others in organizations
Article Abstract:
Individuals exhibiting 'concern for others' qualities are less likely to make decisions of personal consequences. A study conducted to test the interaction between the 'concern for others'(CFO) quality, risk and payoff, showed that individuals with high CFO are less likely to consider rational computations, such as payoffs, if risk levels are kept constant. This quality needs to be managed especially in the context of organizational decisions.

Strategic timing in group negotiations: the implications of forced entry and forced exit for negotiators with unequal power
Article Abstract:
Group negotiations which lack the presence of negotiators can have decisive effects on the results. A three-person, mixed-motive negotiation was employed to determine the impact of asymmetrical caucusing on group negotiation and the possible reasons behind the trends. Results emphasized the importance of negotiator participation to gain a share of the rewards.
