The author critiques the validity inconsistency of the Ego Impairment Index (EII), a Rorschach measure of reasoning, perception and cognition. The author also points out that issues surrounding incremental validity are typically focused on predictive model coefficients, rather than degree of predictability specifically.

The incremental validity of the Ego Impairment Index (EII), a Rorschach-derived measure of cognition, perception, and reasoning is overviewed. According to William Perry, the controversy surrounding Rorschach should be called off that has occupied much attention but generated few new ideas.
