Information processing deficits associated with developmental coordination disorder: a meta-analysis of research findings
Article Abstract:
Motor impairment in children sometimes exists independently of a variety of other known disorders such as cerebral palsy or muscular dystrophy and may be so severe that it can adversely affect educational achievement and result in problems in daily living. A meta-analysis was conducted to determine information processing operations most strongly associated with developmental coordination disorder. The potential influence of several moderator variables is also evaluated.
