Kundry
Article Abstract:
Kundry, a character in Wagner's 'Parsifal,' is used to demonstrate aspects of female psychology. Kundry shows rage and borderline behavior based on conflict and guilt, rather than on ego deficit. Wagner's emphasis on conflict and guilt with the possibility of redemption, instead of ego deficit, offers a positive approach to borderline psychopathology. The problem of feminine rage and self destruction cannot be attributed only to women's social inequality in a male dominated culture.

Primary femininity and female genital anxiety
Article Abstract:
Women's uneasiness about their genitals should be addressed by psychoanalysts as an issue of how women perceive themselves and not as women coveting what men have, or penis envy. Women experience apprehension about their sexual organs when they are frightened about pain from intercourse, not being able to enjoy a sexual experience, and the inability to bear children. Environment and experience should also be taken into consideration when examining a woman's perception of self.
