Mediated imitation in 6-month-olds: remembering by association
Article Abstract:
This article examines the effects of associating an imitation behavior with an operant task on subsequent recall in infants. Findings indicate that pairing a puppet imitation sequence with an operant task that activated a toy train significantly improved recall of the imitation behavior if the operant task was recalled first.

Perceptual constraints on infant memory retrieval
Article Abstract:
Two separate experiments were conducted to examine visual search asymmetry in memory retrieval among infants. In these studies, retrieval in homogenous replays was influenced by feature-absent stimuli (Os) while retrieval in pop-out displays was controlled by feature-present stimulus (Qs). The failure of the subjects to distinguish Os from Qs in certain cases indicate the importance of feature-present stimulus in retrieval.
