On the failure to induce meager offers in ultimatum games
Article Abstract:
The effect of player strength or weakness on the tendency towards greedy behavior is tested in an ultimatum game extended to a costless two-period play. Results were in contrast to the non-cooperative game theory in which participants exhibited greediness to ensure success. Instead of the stronger player getting the whole prize and, more even shares resulted as long as one one of them can refuse an offer from the other.
