Negativity and lies in analytic group therapy: An inquiry into Bion's ideas of K and -K
Article Abstract:
A therapeutic failure in psychoanalytic group work, that is often overlooked and is caused by the patients who mislead the therapist by lying and using a negative process of thought that works against analytic aims of acquiring understanding and emotional truth is presented on the basis of Bion's ideas of K and -K. It is seen that Bion's ideas regarding the K and -K link are capable of providing a structure that will help in understanding the group negativity and resistance to intimate forms of relating in analytic group psychotherapy.

"I'm not the only one!" group therapy with older children and adolescents who have learning disabilities
Article Abstract:
A model of group therapy for older children and adolescents with learning disabilities (LD), which consists of a combination of self psychology, mutual aid, interpersonal group therapy and the use of special techniques by the leaders for accommodating the LD and fostering the group process, is presented. It was seen that the group therapy provides a useful intervention for older children and adolescents with LD as it increases their socialization, self-esteem and the sense of competence.
