On reporting recollective experiences and 'direct access to memory systems'
Article Abstract:
Strack and Forster (1995) showed that know responses are influenced by judgmental strategies not requiring memory for the earlier occurrence of the item. An experiment replicating Strack and Forster's, also additionally allowed subjects to report guesses. Response bias was found to have no effect on either know or remember responses, thus indicating that manipulating response bias influences know responses only if guessing is encouraged.

Approximating chaotic behavior
Article Abstract:
Chaos theory is applied to human action to help explain certain classes of human behaviors. Chaos pertains to the irregular, unpredictable behavior of deterministic, nonlinear systems. A productive strategy is employedin which human subjects received feedback that demonstrates how closely their responses approximated a chaotic sequence. Test results indicate that people can adapt to the demands of a chaotic sequence.

Choosing to vary and repeat
Article Abstract:
Pigeon behavior was observed through four-response sequencies from left to right. One response out of the four is the deviant or variant response, and the pigeon was not rewarded if it produced the variant response. Results supported the theory that behavioral variability is influenced by its consequences. The pigeons varied or repeated their responses depending on the reinforcement frequency.
