Similarity in context: cognitive representation and violation of preference and perceptual invariance in consumer choice
Article Abstract:
Similarity judgments are flexible and context-dependent and, hence, are a viable aid to determining effects on consumer preferences. This supports the claim that preference and similarity judgments involve common processes. The research reveals that the identification of context effects in the similarity domain is diagnostic of context effects in the preference domain and that assessment of the interaction between both sets of judgments contributes to the development of an integrated framework bridging the perceptual and preferential components of context-dependent decision-making.

An empirical investigation of the impact of process monitoring on computer-mediated decision-making performance
Article Abstract:
Most decision support systems (DSS) fail to support the implementation of decision-making strategies. A DSS is developed which allows individuals to monitor the implementation of their strategies. It is shown that implementation support can be integrated into a DSS wherein support improves the decision-making process and increases correspondingly with an increase in the complexity of decision strategies.
