Testing a self-determination Theory Process Model for promoting glycemic control through diabetes self-management
Article Abstract:
The self-determination theory (SDT) process is tested by a longitudinal study and the relation between change in perceived competence and change in glycemic control is examined. The study revealed that perceptions of autonomy and competence played a role in predicting glycemic control.
