Patterns of punitiveness in women with eating disorders
Article Abstract:
Hostility in patients suffering from bulimia nervosa, anorexia nervosa and a comparison group was investigated. The results showed that those with eating disorders were more hostile and intropunitive than the members of the comparison group. Bulimics exhibited significantly more hostility than anorexics, who tended to direct their hostility inwards rather than outwards. Extrapunitiveness was associated with impulsivity while intropunitiveness was connected with depression.

Predictors of mental health problems and negative caregiving experiences in carers of adolescents with bulimia nervosa
Article Abstract:
A study was undertaken to determine the levels of mental health (MH) problems in carers of individuals with bulimia nervosa (BN), whether a negative experience of caregiving could create MH status, and which factors predict a negative experience of caregiving. The two relationship factors of expressed emotion and weekly contact hours predicted a negative experience of caregiving.
