Perception of three-dimensional cues in early infancy
Article Abstract:
The capacity of three-month old infants to process three-dimensional cues in static images was evaluated in three experiments after familiarizing the infants to a micropattern that resemble three-dimensional blocks. Results reveal that these infants are sensitive to three-dimensional cues in static images but they are not able to focus their attention on these cues when they are presented in combination with other elements.
