Physical activity behavior change: issues in adoption and maintenance
Article Abstract:
The importance of maintaining physical activity behavior beyond 6 months of adoption of this behavior is discussed, since the maintenance of such behavior is necessary to sustain health benefits. The relation of physical activity behavior to other health behaviors such as smoking is also discussed.
