Privacy versus willingness to disclose in e-commerce exchanges: the effect of risk awareness on the relative role of trust and control
Article Abstract:
The use of Internet for collecting information for consumer profiling is studied by interview data combined with insights from the literatures on self-disclosure, sociology, and consumer research in a ground theory analysis. An interpretative approach is adopted for exploring the social and psychological issues underlying consumer's privacy concerns.
